How to invest in Anthropic

Anthropic is still private, so there's no ticker to buy. There are several real ways to get exposure today. Here's each route, who it's for, and where to start.

Your options, step by step

  1. 1

Understand: you can't buy it directly yet

Anthropic is private. There's no ticker and no public shares. Anyone claiming to sell you 'Anthropic stock' on a normal brokerage today is mistaken, or worse.

  2. 2

    Option A: Public proxies (anyone)

Buy shares of Anthropic's largest backers, Amazon (AMZN) and Alphabet (GOOGL), through any standard broker. The closest listed exposure to Anthropic itself.

  3. 3

Option B: The wider AI ecosystem (anyone)

Buy public stocks across the AI supply chain, from chip designers and memory makers to foundries, cloud hosts, and recent AI IPOs, through any standard broker.

  4. 4

Option C: Wait for the IPO

When the public S-1 and pricing arrive, shares will list on a public exchange. A first-earnings entry gives one quarter of audited data before you commit.

Option A · open to everyone

Buy public proxy stocks

The closest tradeable exposure to Anthropic today is through its strategic backers, AMZN and GOOGL. Open an account with eToro where available, then see live charts on our financials page.

Option B · open to everyone

Buy AI stocks across the supply chain

Anthropic's backers are the closest proxies, but the AI wave runs much wider. These public stocks, from Nvidia and AMD to SK Hynix, TSMC, ASML, Oracle, and CoreWeave, let you invest in the same build-out today. Each trades on eToro where available (US visitors are routed to an alternative broker at click time).

AI chip designers

The GPUs and custom accelerators that train and serve every frontier model. The core of the AI hardware stack.

AMD AMD

The main alternative AI accelerator supplier as labs diversify away from a single chip vendor.

Broadcom AVGO

Custom AI accelerators (including Google TPUs) and high-speed networking chips for hyperscale data centers.

Buy AVGO →
Marvell MRVL

Custom AI silicon and data-center networking chips used in cloud and accelerator platforms.

Buy MRVL →
Intel INTC

Pushing Gaudi accelerators and foundry services as it tries to reclaim a seat at the AI chip table.

Buy INTC →

Memory & HBM

High-bandwidth memory is the bottleneck alongside GPUs. These suppliers ride every new training cluster.

SK Hynix 000660

SK Hynix is the leading producer of high-bandwidth memory and a primary memory partner for Nvidia's AI GPU platforms. HBM attaches directly to accelerator packages; without it, the fastest chips cannot feed data fast enough for large-model training. SK Hynix trades on the Korea Exchange (ticker 000660); many international brokers offer access. Its fortunes track AI capex cycles closely: when labs like Anthropic order more GPUs, HBM suppliers often see demand months ahead of final server shipments.

Samsung Electronics 005930

Memory, advanced packaging, and foundry capacity for AI chips. A diversified play on the hardware layer.

Foundries & chip equipment

The fabs and lithography tools that make advanced AI silicon possible. Capacity here constrains the whole industry.

ASML ASML

ASML holds a near-monopoly on extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, the equipment required to pattern the most advanced silicon nodes. Every next-generation AI GPU and custom TPU ultimately depends on EUV tools to be manufactured at scale. Lead times and pricing power at ASML flow through to the entire chip supply chain. The stock is an indirect but highly leveraged play on leading-edge semiconductor capacity, which AI has stretched to its limits.

Buy ASML →
Applied Materials AMAT

Largest wafer-fabrication equipment maker; fabs expanding for AI chip demand need its tools.

Buy AMAT →
Lam Research LRCX

Etch and deposition equipment for advanced nodes. Capacity additions at TSMC and peers flow through here.

Buy LRCX →

Cloud & AI data centers

Where models actually run: hyperscale cloud, GPU clouds, and the server builders wiring up the racks.

CoreWeave CRWV

CoreWeave is a GPU-focused cloud built for AI training and inference, with direct deals to Anthropic, Broadcom, and other frontier players. It rents Nvidia clusters by the hour instead of selling chips, so revenue scales with how much compute the industry burns. The company went public amid intense demand for GPU capacity that hyperscalers alone could not satisfy. Among US-listed names, CoreWeave is one of the purest ways to own AI compute rental rather than the hardware or software layers above and below it.

Buy CRWV →
Super Micro Computer SMCI

Builds the AI server racks and liquid-cooled systems that hyperscalers and GPU clouds deploy at scale.

Buy SMCI →
Dell Technologies DELL

Enterprise and AI server infrastructure; benefits as every company and cloud builds out inference capacity.
